PIAU encourages those seeking to hire an investigator to hire an agency based upon their qualifications, experience and ability to conduct the type of investigation needed. We also suggest that you check with the Utah Department of Public Safety to verify that they are properly licensed as an Agency and check some references.
State law does not allow Private Investigator Apprentices and Registrants to
work directly for their own clients. All work must be conducted by a Private Investigator with a valid Agency License.
